Delivery time 2-4 weeks

Please contact us if you need your painting more urgently or on a specific date.

The delivery time is due to the individual, careful preparation of the painting, should a covering or framing be desired. Thank you for your patience!

Shape - How do you want to receive the painting?

Rolled - You receive the rolled up canvas (or other material) in a tube and take care of the stretching and framing of the painting yourself.

Stretched - We stretch the canvas onto a stretcher frame. As soon as you receive the painting, you can immediately hang it up. We add a surcharge of €30 for the materials, labour and higher shipping costs. This option is only available for canvas paintings.

Framed - On request, we can also take care of the framing for you. Please send an email to: info@asante-sanaa.de
Together we will find the right frame for you and provide you with a customised quote.

Pesa Maua

A field of wild poppies sways beneath a sky caught mid-transformation, streaked with lavender, coral, and gold as day gives way to dusk. The red blooms scatter like sparks across the canvas, some standing tall and open, others just budding, their thin stems rising out of a dark, sun-warmed earth below.

There's a looseness to the brushwork here, a sense of wind moving through the field, of light shifting minute by minute. The dark foreground grounds the piece, letting the sky and blossoms do the singing.

"Pesa Maua" is Kiswahili for "money flowers," pesa meaning money and maua meaning flowers. It's a phrase that speaks to flowers as a kind of natural wealth, a reminder that not all riches come from currency. In Ochu's hands, this sun-drenched field of poppies becomes its own kind of fortune: abundant, radiant, and free for the taking.
